 "Machiavelli's dichotomy in TRUMP" @Mauiciopartyguy

"I'm leaving for the Pasargadae, there I'm a friend of the King" Manuel Bandeira.

In Machiavelli's The Prince, written for the interests of the Medici family, he says that a prince must do everything to maintain power and his strength, prestige, and power.

Within the concept of sovereignty of a nation and country, he must fight and do everything for the social, economic, and political well-being of his nation, and this is what the Constitutions of the United States, France, Germany, Brazil, and other free democratic countries seek and establish as an agenda for a modern, efficient, and safe politics for those who want to follow the path of democracy (theoretically, it should be this way). In the 1980s, there was a trade war between the US and Brazil over tariffs and the defense of Brazilian industry and its interests. IBM (USA) wanted to establish a chip manufacturing plant in Brazil, but was held back by the law protecting the interests of the nascent Brazilian computer industry and the principle of Brazilian market reserves. From the perspective of national sovereignty, you, the President of the United States, fight for your economy, market, and the appropriate tariff on American products and the rights of your citizens. In this regard, I commented during his first election about undocumented immigrants in America: "That the owner of the house and also the owner of the back door to open and/or close it is a sovereign right of the United States of America.

This same rhetoric applies to Mr. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in leading and directing what is best for his people, not for me. This notion applies to any country or nation that is democratically enshrined in the UN and other democratic and sovereign institutions.

For the past 150 years, Brazil has been a friend and partner of the United States, selling and importing its products and goods under a framework of free trade and market offerings, and multilateral and reciprocal interests for products such as coffee, orange juice, steel, agricultural products, and other commodities.

Therefore, President Trump, Brazil is not only a friend but, above all, has several treaties and protocols of mutual interest, which is common and accepted among friendly and democratic nations. world.

Mr. Trump, the freedom to be friends with someone is a good thing and worthy of respect for everyone, anywhere, at any time, as long as this personal and private interest does not interfere with national and collective interests that have nothing to do with the country's internal politics.

Therefore, using a 50% tariff on a country just to force a peaceful and friendly nation into political change is incorrect and regrettable.

I would like to remind you that thousands of immigrants are being imprisoned in their countries as criminals, and that other nations cannot do anything based on the national sovereignty of the United States and its laws and regulations.

I would also like to remind you that Mr. President of the Republic, Mr. Jair Bolsonaro, is not only a Brazilian citizen, but also faces several political and criminal proceedings in Brazil that do not fall under the jurisdiction of the United States. Therefore, by failing to address this issue, you violate national sovereignty and demonstrate a dichotomy, as citizens of various nationalities are imprisoned in the United States and treated as criminals. Furthermore, A person who is not an American citizen and was a former President of a free and sovereign nation, you were attacking and harming the Brazilian people and nation to protect them, when it is not the duty and/or responsibility of the Supreme Federal Court of Brazil within its federal constitution and political and social norms.

Therefore, I ask that you reconsider your views on a nation that has been a partner and friend for so many years and will continue to be in the years to come.

Sincerely,

Maurício José da Silva - Social Work, Phlebotomist, and CNA I
